Favorite Places to Purchase Website Templates

Quick Tip: Demo versions of website templates always look impressive. But your installation will be a blank slate. If you are not familiar with content integration you could find yourself spending hours trying to figure it out.

#1: Themeforest

Themeforest has a lot of great developers selling WordPress themes…and they have a lot of bad ones too. Be wary when shopping for your theme and use these quick tips to find a professional developer on Themeforest.

  • Browse the Popular Item section first and find the current best sellers.
  • Read the comments for complaints and red flags. Avoid wasting money and time on problematic themes.
  • Check the Last Updated date. Old themes might not work with recent versions of WordPress.

#2: WooThemes

I have never purchased a bad theme from WooThemes. Their designs are best for any business with clean minimalistic branding or somebody looking to start a simple blog or clean and organized ecommerce website.

#3: StudioPress

StudioPress has a solid catalog of WordPress themes to fit almost any business and they are the wizards behind the Genesis Child Theme which powers other developers themes.

#4: Yoast

Yoast is best known for his amazing WordPress SEO tool.  But recently they launched awesomely designed WordPress themes that runs on the Genesis Child Theme. Their current theme selection is minimal but comes with special bonuses.

#5: WordPress

If you already have a WordPress installation then you have access to their vast library of paid and free WordPress themes. A majority of themes in their library are by independent developers.  Theme installation is a snap, everything is done through your WordPress dashboard.

The simplicity of WordPress makes it easy for new businesses to launch their website for little or no money. But purchasing unsupported themes from unknown developers leaves your pest control website open to possible security breaches which could lead to headaches the unexpected costs.

WordPress website templates are a great first step for any pest control business looking to establish and market their business online. The downside to website templates is you are locked into a specific design. A pest control business with complex requirements should consider building a custom website.
